Pauline Doyle was born in Manchester and received a good Catholic education. Despite being a high achiever, she left school at sixteen to help support her disabled mother.
At fifty, she returned to study and undertook a course in Pastoral Theology at The Maria Assumpta Centre, Kensington. Following this qualification, she was invited to study two modules of an MA Religious Studies course focusing on adult learning at St Mary’s University, Twickenham. She then accepted her Diocesan Director of Education’s invitation to train parish leaders.
Pauline later qualified as a professional counsellor and practised for several years, at the same time as caring for her beloved husband, Tom, after he suffered a major stroke. When not writing, Pauline followed the various pursuits of her loving and gifted children and grandchildren.
Several months after publication, Pauline sadly passed away peacefully in February 2024. She was very satisfied to have witnessed the reaction to her book and was comforted by the thought of being reunited with her husband, Tom in eternal rest.
